Camia Brown Interiors is leading the interior design for the new Masjid Khalifah mixed-use development in Bedford-Stuyvesant, a transformative project that integrates faith, education, and affordable senior housing within a unified campus.

Our scope focuses on the shared and community-facing environments across the development, including residential common areas, amenity spaces, mosque interiors, ablution areas, educational facilities, and interior finish standards for the residential units. Working in close collaboration with the Architect of Record and development team, CBI is establishing a cohesive interior language that honors the cultural and spiritual significance of the mosque while introducing a refined, contemporary framework for modern living.

The design approach is grounded in reverence and longevity — balancing material warmth, durability, and thoughtful detailing with spaces that support gathering, worship, learning, and intergenerational community life. Through strategic finish standards, lighting coordination, and spatial planning, we are creating an environment that bridges legacy and growth, ensuring the interiors feel both rooted in history and prepared for the future.
